Managing Attorney, Robert A. Engel
Robert was born in New York City, New York. He graduated from Cornell University, with honors, before obtaining his J.D. from New York University.He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1971. Robert practiced in New York City for three years, before moving to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1974.
He was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar in 1974 and was an Assistant Attorney General, representing various environmental and financial boards and agencies of the state for several years before entering private practice. Robert has maintained his connections to both New York and New Mexico.

PETRA JIMENEZ MAES
Of Counsel, Petra Jimenez Maes
Petra Jimenez Maes is a Native of New Mexico. She received a B.A. from the University of New Mexico and a J.D. from UNM Law School. And has been a member of the New Mexico Bar since 1973.
In 1981 she was appointed to the First Judicial District Court. Her assignments in the District Court included the Criminal Division; Family Division; and Civil Division. In addition, Judge Maes served as the Children’s Court Judge for twelve years. Judge Maes was elected as Chief Judge for two terms.
Petra was elected to the New Mexico Supreme Court in November 1998 becoming the first Hispana to serve on the court.
Petra Jimenez Maes’ life experience includes raising four children as a single parent after her husband’s death in 1983. She is also a proud grandmother of three granddaughters and one grandson.
